    1. Sadly, although I hate to say it, Owen, it reflects badly on the 39% of the electorate that gave him his majority.

  3. But he only got 24% of eligible votes. That's even worse. This system desperately needs to be changed.

Putting aside the question of electoral reform for the moment, Anon, at the very least (and I know this is a very tall order) people have to assume more responsibility for the country's fate by getting out to vote. The results of indifference should now be painfully obvious to even the most indolent.
