Blogging Hiatus
We are off for a sojourn in the Venice area. Since I will only be bringing my Blackberry Playbook with me, a pain to write with thanks to its electronic keyboard, I suspect I will be doing little or no blogging during that time.
Lorne, why would you blog at all if you're going to be in Venice? I take it that's the one in Italy, not the one in the Bellagio in Vegas or Venice Beach (my favourite) in California. Have a great time.
.. thanks for your exemplary Canadian journalism and reportage .. Safe trip.. & hope you are perceived n welcomed as a Canadian .. not as a resident of Harper's shrinking, shrill unrecognizable mistake
Hi Lorne...have a great trip, it should be fabulous. But as Salamander points out we're not as popular as we once were in Europe. So don't tell anyone you're a Canadian. No maple leafs, Blue Jay t-shirts etc. And if you're found out, try to persuade them you're from a First Nation. They're still warmly regarded abroad, unlike the rest of us. And if all fails, and the mob still comes after you, make sure you keep your escape gondola handy, along with a muscular gondolier . ;)

ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great and enjoyable trip, Lorne. Don't worry about posts. With Harper it is same old, same old.
DeleteThanks everyone. Just getting over the jetlag as we prepare to take a look at the canals today. As per your advice, we'll keep a low Canadian profile!
ReplyDeleteSafe trip, Lorne. Oh, to be in Italy!
