Yes I have been saying to a few people that we Canadians will have to protect Canada from America. It would not be surprising if USA invaded Canada just because he thinks he can. Stand on Guard
In these times, Anon, nothing is certain. I was reading a book recently about why so many Canadians Pre-Confederation supported the rebel cause. Apparently, William Seward, Lincoln's Secretary of State, badly wanted to annex Canada. The threat turned out to be an additional impetus for Confederation.
Much , if not most, of what Trump says is to be controversial and draw attention to himself. He was furious when Kamala Harris appeared on page one for weeks on end. And so it goes! Trumps foreign policy is based upon drawing attention to himself be it only briefly. Any serious threat to Canada will come from one of his minions who seek to profit from their ill gained power. The USA is about to enter the age of graft where policy is driven by greed and a return to an age of medievality!! Unless I have underestimated Trump I think his posts on Truth Social are not his words but those of his sons and maybe friends and other users! Other than his religious right supporters , who are frighteningly well organised, it's money ,money money, all the way. TB
It's difficult to know hat is really going on behind the scenes, TB, but I just heard that Peter Navarro is going to be a special trade advisor to Trump. You may recall that Navarro said in the first Trump administration that there was a special place in hell for people like Trudeau.
