It's All A Matter Of Perspective, I Guess

Some people are losing good union jobs because of their 'beliefs'. No doubt those being fired from well-paid positions at Toronto's TTC, from various hospitals, etc. see themselves as principled martyrs for refusing vaccine mandates.

Others, however, see them in a different light.

H/t Patrick Corrigan

It's all a matter of perspective, I guess.

  1. So you're fine with the government literally blackmailing and extorting people against their will to get an experimental vaccine?

    1. First, Anon, the vaccines in use are not experimental. They have the full approval of such reputable bodies as the FDA and Health Canada. Secondly, what you call blackmail and extortion I call responsible public health policy. The needs of the general public outweigh the childish obstructionism of the conspiracy set. Perhaps if people educated themselves with what science tells us rather than getting their news from fringe groups, we would all be better off.

  2. Presumably, most if not all the people spreading the Omicron variant around the world are doubly vaccinated, since they are the only ones who can travel.

    1. Apparently, it is because there is a large number that are unvaccinated that the new variant has spread, Anon. The best protection thus far against serious illness and death is still the vaccine.

    2. Unvaccinated people can't get on a plane, train, or ship for that matter. It would be impossible for someone like myself to spread it to another country.

I think it's time for a harsh lockdown, simply for vaccinated folks. Just 2 weeks to flatten the curve. ;)
