Business As Usual

I have to confess that I am not following the Cop26 Glasgow Summit very closely. My suspicion is that all the hot air being vented there will only aggravate our climate crisis.

  1. Those cartoons aren't far off the mark. Justin, displaying the nerve of a canal horse, has urged the world to emulate Canada to save the world. He told the delegates that carbon pricing is the solution although Canada's emissions since the Liberals took power speak for themselves. Not a peep about "leave it in the ground." No surprise there. Pipelines, what pipelines?

    I find the best coverage isn't Canadian. Fortunately France 24, Deutsche Welle and Al Jazeera have fairly good English-language streaming services.

    1. I find myself getting increasingly disenchanted with North American televised news, especially U.S. news, Mound. I really do need to broaden my horizons.
