More Encouraging News

I quite enjoyed this report, which suggests some of the most odious of Conservative sycophants have a good chance of losing their seats.

Meanwhile, in the first three of the four days set aside for advance polls, 2.4 million Canadians cast their vote. That has to mean something.

  1. That was positively inspirational, Lorne. One name missing from the list was that skunk Poilievre's. I too was surprised that Harper ran again. After he lost Nigel Wright he was unable to attract A-list talent to the PMO which left him with the decidedly B-listers like Novak and Byrne.

I don't care who Harper loses to. It would surely be as bad to be the first prime minister to lose to the NDP as it would for Harper to lose to a Trudeau.

    1. An ignominious loss is what I most dream about, Mound. As for Poilievre, to see that smirk wiped off his face tis, as Hamlet said, a consummation devoutly to be wished.

  2. So many Canadians casting their vote in the advance polls is good news Lorne.I'm feeling more optimistic, but I won't give a complete sigh of relief until the election is over and hopefully Harper is gone. He is looking really desperate these days and now that Mohamed Fahmy is free and back in Canada, Harper has another nemesis to deal with.

    1. I saw Fahmy on the news decrying Harper's inaction in his case, Pamela. The latest report is that more than 3.6 million voted in the advance polls, a whopping 71 per cent increase over 2011. Now, if we can get a similarly enthusiastic turnout on Oct. 19, Harper is surely toast.
