For Your Consideration

We need undeveloped, pristine land now more than ever to help offset rapidly escalating climate change. Please consider signing this petition.

  1. We've got scads of undeveloped, pristine land out my way. Today climate change has transformed it into fuel for wildfires that drive even more climate change. British Columbia once used our forests to boast of our role as a "carbon sink." Today those dead and dying forests are instead making us a "carbon bomb."

This is not to say that greenbelt protection isn't vital. It is. That's why control of any province is too important to entrust to the likes of Ford or Kenney or Moe.

    1. When I think of green spaces these days, Mound, I think of them not so much as places of recreation, renewal and agricultural largess but rather as places needed for their absorptive capacity. Ford and his ilk would ignore that in favour of pavement and suburban sprawl; in other words, a developer's paradise, at least until the deluge comes.

    1. Now, Anon, if you read my blog with any regularity, you know I am not going to let such a xenophobic comment stand.
