Ontario's Ongoing Shame

Ontarians are responsible for the election of this buffoon. Ontarians will have to wear this shame for the next four years.

    1. Star editorial cartoons are almost always on the money, Owen.

  2. I worry about the knock-on effects of your premier's folly. Will he embolden other premiers to dabble in the same antics? What worries me most is that your fellow Ontarians might not react in outrage and thereby feed the beast's base instincts.

    1. I think you are right to be concerned about the terrible precedent being set here, Mound. My bet is that Quebec will use it next, just as they did years ago.

  3. Some Ontarians. A minority of Ontarians. I wonder if the OLP is wishing it had actually supported mixed member promotional over first part the post.

    1. Too many people chose not to vote, opening the way for this travesty, UU.

  4. .. I played competitive sports, team and individual sports & right through college, including a national championship plus Olympic & pro tryouts.. When required we always took a name and number for cheap shots, especially those that could have easily ended a career.

That's where I see us today, as basic citizens.. ie we have to compete wicked hard, give receipts as required.. make time to take names, titles, numbers, and look down backtrails of some of the scumbags, losers, lobbyists, data wankers and dirtbag savages who now frequent our various levels of governance, the back rooms, war rooms, black ops centers, robo & live call centers & indeed may pretend to represent us as elected 'public servants' or those who are annointed or appointed to also 'represent' our 'will' (now that's where it gets truly loosey goosey scary)

The high tide of such 'governance' was likely mystery meat fresh out of U of Western Ontario Poli Sci Ray Novak plus Nigel Wright as two of the most powerful 'politicians' in Canada - under Stephen Harper. Elected ? Hell, nobody really knew who the heck they were - where they came from - or why.. and who was Jenni Byrne and her twin sister ? Or that 'save my last breath' for Harper lawyer - Arthur Hamilton ?

Many of them have surfaced in the back rooms of Doug Ford of course. And who knows where the likes of Ken Boessenkool surfaced after bailing on Patrick Brown's excellent failed adventure ? Major mileage on that guy who is a born to seperate Albertan who keeps having to spend more time with his family..

In summary, we are not short of bad guys n bad girls in Canada. We have our white nationalistas, true nazis and limp backbone mealy mouths like Andrew Scheer proclaiming undying love for Canada eh.. and emerging from the cave stalks Stephen Harper proclaiming how much he and dear Laureen love military vets's families (sob)

Well let's see hiw Ontario swings.. its a popular place for greasy or mealy thugs.. or the spineless.. very much in the vein of of Trumplandia.. but where is kur Robert Mueller ?

    1. The debasement of politics is well-illustrated in your comments, Sal. I don't see a saviour on the horizon.
