There's more truth to that video than we would like to imagine. Now think of it in the context of every politician who continues to embrace perpetual, exponential growth even as civilization already exists so far beyond the bounds of our ecology, our biosphere, propelling ourselves to collapse. At this point what's the use of even asking why?
