Colbert's Take on the Collapse of the Harper Government
Today, for a change, something a little different and a little lighter: a clip from The Colbert Report on the fall of the Harper Government. Kind of reminds all of us to come up for air periodically.
Thanks for that. This is important for Canada, but I have enough of a sense of humoUr to see how it looks funny to US-Americans, and others, especially in comparison with the way other governments are falling around the world.
I actually laughed when they cut back to Colbert after the BBC report and throughout the rest of the skit.
Just to bring things back down again though, the prosaic nature of this Canadian crisis is actually something we should be thankful for. If the harpercons had their way, they'd be rubbing our faces in scandal after manufactured scandal, and legislating vast grab-bags of anti-abortion, racist, anti-union horrors, while we sat there and whined about it.
"The Canadian coalition minority government" HAHAHA Fox News gets it wrong in the funniest way possible!
