Am I Wrong To Feel Contempt For The Unhinged Right-Wing?

You decide.

  1. Lorne, I watched Republican debate. They all came across crazy. For example climate change does not deserve wasting time to even discuss it.

The major calamity the world is facing is ISIS/ISIL. They pretty well waisted over 2 hours primarily discussing ISIS/ISIL?

  3. What is really pathetic about them Lorne,is, their not aware of how ignorant and ridiculous they sound.Their not humiliated or embarrassed at all by their behaviour. Noam Chomsky has said that the Republican party is not a political party. I agree. It's like we're watching the American political culture completely unravel.Look at who is running for president! Their not only all anti-intellectuals, none of them have any political knowledge on what is involved in heading their government. As if things weren't bad enough with the American Empire expansion, they could get some yahoo who wants to shoot down Russian planes. Have you ever seen a group of such talentless know nothings. It is a myth that ignorance is bliss. In a President it is truly dangerous. Your contempt is well placed. More American citizens should be feeling that contempt.

    1. In many ways these do appear to be the end days for the American Empire, Pamela. Their disintegration as a nation is a sad spectacle from which others can learn, one hopes.

  4. Just what else can you feel for them, Lorne? Pity? Neither wanted nor deserved. Empathy? Hardly. You pretty quickly exhaust all the other options. Contempt it is.

    1. Thanks, Mound. I was wondering if perhaps there was some deficiency in my emotional range. ;)

  5. Have you noticed Obama lately Lorne? He looks beaten. It's like he's saying, I can't do this anymore. 7yrs of deception, lies and violence, may be getting to him. The sense I get is that he is just going through the motions.I think as America disintegrates it become more dangerous. I sense militarily, they are out of control.

    1. I often get a sense, especially when he talks about gun violence in the U.S. that he has given up all hope, Pamela, for the triumph of reason over madness.
