I think Harper's New years resolution would be to admit that he has lost control of his PMO, fire everyone and start fresh.In this way he would show the public that he is serious about having a transparent government and that he doesn't know and was not informed of anything about the senate scandal. Otherwise,if he doesn't do this perhaps it would indicate that he knows more about Senate scandal than he is letting on,and perhaps his staff would have evidence of this that would incriminate him.
