From The Big Leagues

I think Theo Moudakis captures the Canadian zeitgeist here, don't you think?

  1. The cons here are saying that if the tariffs remain then Canada was betrayed by the libs. I see 'lil pp comment is about his continued campaign to be PM, at any cost , even weakening Canadas' position. ..... watching Carney arrive as I post ....

    1. The Conservatives seem to have no capacity for introspection, lungta. I just watched Carney's appearance with Trump before the cameras. How one deals with someone like Trump, talking on and on about nothing of substance, is beyond me.

  2. As you say Lorne its hard to deal with a bullshit artist that is so full of it its running out his arse, power to Carney for staying so restrained!

    1. Exactly, Rural. The man is a trial for anyone who has to listen to him, let alone sit in the same room with him.

  3. In the real world the meeting would be considered a waste of time.
That Carney kept his cool is noteworthy.
That Freeland was mentioned in such a way as it was is pure bonus!
The thought of unleashing Freeland ,on the US , is like Canada having a secret weapon of US destruction!!
At the end of the day Canada or anyone else cannot make true trade agreements with Trump being so changeable and unpredictable; his thoughts and desires change by the minute.
I am sure that Carney with some clandestine support from Freeland is going to say nice things to Trump whilst entering trade and security deals with Europe and opening up to trade with China!
Lets start with inviting the Chinese to export their high end electric vehicles?
Security with Europe has already started with Canada conducting naval exercises
with the UK, I'm sure France will soon follow.
Carney is making bold moves , the likes of we have never seen before.
    Interesting days?
