Years ago a defector reported on conditions in North Korea. He was from a small village. It seems every village, no matter how small, has a building, even a shack, that is the central government headquarters to disseminate propaganda and directives to the locals. This fellow mentioned an incident in which his village's shack caught fire. As it burned to the ground, three villagers lost their lives running into the fire to attempt to rescue a crappy photo of Kim Jong Il. This fellow said they were so brainwashed they didn't hesitate. That's a degree of conditioning I never thought I'd see repeated. However there's a faint trace of something along those lines in a segment of the American population today. Reality doesn't much matter.

So, are all our voices, since 2008...Lets see, how smug looks as a garb given ---no outrage over trillions shoveled at 5 major scam fraudster so-called investment banks at the midnight tolling bell(most of which were represented by executives roasting cozy in Obama's administration). Any more than they or any Western citizen/group did when the US (and stealth NATO) caused 8 wars--Iraq based on outright lies (WMD's) and then more outrageous lies based on a concept that never materialized --'phony regime change'...I am way past ashamed---and intolerant of those who are either lying to themselves or worse --finding asinine excuses to agree with what happened (the worst of which is soon coming --Oh, that was a long time ago....) ...Heard that idiocy far too often...
Thanks for your comments, Marg. I do feel for those many right-thinking people who see the rot and injustice in their country. We can only hope that enough of them will bring about the change necessary to bring the United States back into the realm of those democratic countries who respect their citizens.
