An Effective Rebuke Of Trumpland Republicans
Filmmaker Matthew Cooke provides much-needed perspective and context as a counter to the far-right rhetoric that relentlessly seeks to undermine faith in government.
.. Might just be the best I have seen in years ! Muchos gracias !! I was also thinking how much it speaks to Canada and Canadians.. and the political failures we are constantly seeing from our major political parties and purported 'leaders'. It seems obvious we are paying elected and unelected partisans to latch onto us & inflict flawed & parasitic ideology, distorted religious beliefs, economic fables, deceit, propaganda and stunning greed upon us..
.. In the spirit of 'great video finds' - Cowichan Conversations, as usual has quite a noteworthy post today

Slipping into Youtube, I found the above link that allows my browser to go full screen. I read Richard Hughes posts of course, so an easy find. Again, in the spirit of your post, and since my Prime Directive always is and always will be Canada.. I tuned right in.
I was struck by the early reference to Justin Trudeau's fatuous perspective, which is picked up and echoed by most Mainstream Media partisan pontificationers and biased pundits or meatheads. That being 'First Nations do not have a veto' in regard to pipelines, resource stripping or pollution in Tribal Territories etc etc blah blah. First Nations must surrender or sell in the holy name of Foreign Corporate Investment 'Certainty'
I am completely unaware of when exactly Justin Trudeau and/or Gerald Butts or OUR Parliament for that matter, decided they had assumed Royal Magical Pronouncement powers via political party suppositories.. or whatever deep conceits lie behind that astonishing whopper. To say I'm dismayed by the loose lipped shot while his head was up his ass is a grave understatement. Parked right beside Trudeau, we see Andrew Scheer competing alongshide for Gold Medals - Synchronized Ass Talking.
You just can't erase what escapes your lips in this case. It impacts weakass or sold out Media who then blather to impact Canadians who then become either confused, misled or throw up their hands in dismay. Its 'conundrum season' twould seem.
Even the BC Supreme Court became befuddled, yet at the same time proclaimed a 'Golden Thread' ran through the chain of legal or failed process.. and that a Decision on a Temporary Injunction was not the correct venue regarding questions regarding Aboriginal Title or re Hereditary Chiefs authority over entire territories and being being pitted somehow against Elected Chiefs authority in regard to The Indian Act Reservations

ReplyDeleteAs Owen's post today shows, the price of apathy in a democracy is great. Hopefully, Cooke's words can counteract that apathy.
DeleteSuperb. Truly superb.
ReplyDeleteWe need all the encouragement we can get these days, Owen.
DeleteGreat catch, Lorne. Thanks
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it, Mound.

More and more as things unfold, Sal, the many deficiencies of our 'leaders' is made manifest. And thank you for the link.
DeleteAs I previously suggested your points of view need to be said and observed!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anon.
