Despite the folksy name and falsehood of being the "Canadian experience, Tim Hortons is nothing more than a corporate predator with substandard, mass produced garbage food and coffee. Used to be much better back in the day but has succumbed to the relentless pursuit of squeezing the last dollar out of the rubes. If each customer added up what they've spent there over the years, it would likely be a hefty bit of cash better spent elsewhere. Although I don't want to see mass layoffs of staff who badly need the work, a hefty hit to the bottom line for such a incompetently handled PR problem would be so richly deserved to the heir to the Horton fortune.
I have come to the conclusion, bcwaterboy, that only a substantial hit to the bottom line will move Restaurant Brands Internatonal to allow the individual franchisees to raise their prices to compensate for the increased mnimum wage. This of course, begs the question of whether or not the outraged public is sufficiently outraged to go elsewhere for their daily jolts of caffeine until justice for the workers is served up.
