The Truth No Amount of Propaganda Can Hide

The following pictures of the devastation in Gaza wrought by the Israeli onslaught are all from Al Jazeera:

  1. OT, but, heard about the emergency in Ohio? An algal bloom has contaminated the drinking for Toledo. 500,000 people without water. Boiling doesn't neutralize the toxins.
This is something predicted, right on the EPA website, but it's something I'm only just learning about. How precarious is our own position, here in Canada?

    1. Thanks for the link, Troy. I saw a report on this tonight on the news, but all it said was that the water was very toxic, and there was no mention of algae bloom. This is the first time that i am aware of that it has been identified as dangerous to human health. In Canada in the past, as I recall, the only problem associated with it was an unpleasant taste and odor. Things are obviously getting worse, and I guess the culprit is obvious.

  2. A case can likely be made that these pictures are evidence of the application by the Israelis of the Dahiya Doctrine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dahiya_doctrine which has been called by Richard Falk: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Falk as "state terrorism" (see the first link).

Falk is an American Prof. Emeritus of International law who has apparently also acted as the U.N. rapporteur on human rights in Palestine (see second link). He should know what he is talking about.

It is time that Canadians ask why their Prime Minister and his Party (CPC), the Official Opposition Leader and his Party (NDP) as well as the other opposition Party (Liberals) why they are all apparently supporting what Falk has termed "state terrorism".

It would also appear that this may be the reason why Israel appeared to have attacked Al Jazeera. One again, Canadians should be asking their Parliamentarians why they are apparently supporting an attack on journalists reporting on the carnage in Gaza.

Justin Trudeau in particular should be asked how this demonstrates a commitment to peace by Israel. It would be a waste of time to ask Harper as we know fully well where he stands. Now Mulcair is an interesting case: seems his own NDP youths are already asking the same type of questions too, eh?

    1. All excellent questions, Anon, Ones that I doubt the mainstream media would ever dare to ask. I guess it falls to alternative media like Alternet and The Raw Story to pursue.
