The Sad Case of Lucene Charles

Because she failed to complete the paperwork to achieve permanent residency status when she married a Canadian 15 years ago, St. Vincent native Lucene Charles, the mother of four children, three of whom were born in Canada, faces deportation. Please watch the following video and consider signing this petition to Immigration Minister Jason Kenney.

  2. Why is is considered okay to not follow the laws of the land and then expect to be rewarded for not doing so?

Ms Charles and her daughter must leave Canada now.

The best way to help is to assist them as they leave for home.

    1. would YOU go against a physically abusive husband who told you do didn't need apply for citizenship because you were married to a Canadian citizen and your children were Canadian? I doubt it. Walk a mile in her shoes before you condemn.

  3. My sons played with Lucene Charles's son in the HMFA league this past fall. Her son was just awarded "rookie of the year" at our banquet last week. She has done an good job raising her children, has a job to support her family. I was in her shoes some time ago, I did not file my immigration papers until I had been in Canada for 9 years. I had my own reasons and issues to work out. I wasnt trying to cheat the immigration system, I was brought in to explain my situation and was allowed to stay. She should as well. Her boys need her more than ever. It is a pivotable time in thier life at thier age. KEEP THE FAMILY TOGETHER!!!
