One of the Requirements of Critical Thinking
Rather than relying on the frequently hysterical, emotion-arousing pronouncements of politicians today, most reasonable people will demand proof, either in the form of statistics or studies, to support assertions. Never has that been more important than in today's political climate, especially at the federal level.
