Scriptural inerrancy, whether Christian, Hindu, Judaic or Islamic, implants the madness without which brutality, butchery and terrorism cannot persist. People use this lunacy to turn on others in violence, telling themselves that they're doing their god's work.
BTW - two women who look THAT much alike have no business getting married. A redhead and a blonde, sure. Different eyeglass frames. Something, anything!
The concept of inerrancy has indeed been the source of much discord and bloodshed over the centuries, Mound. Those who hew to literalism in religion have, in my view, a childish concept of spirituality.
