Note To Mr. Weston

Please see my previous post for elaboration on Mr. Weston's dubious practices.

  1. .. am currently visiting Loblaws for only a few specific items.. a Thai sauce ‘the Boss likes or a margarine she prefers & only when on sale. If they can’t separate themselves from the ‘conservative’ Party of Canada War Room Lobby Corporation will never enter a Loblaws again.. plus begin suggesting to family & friends to start choosing sides on this grim reality. Not everyone has the options we have.. to choose ‘the right side of history.. and start attempting to clean up such malignance..

‘one’s behaviour.. & the company you keep.. is highly indicative
and Loblaws must extract itself from Canadian Politics & Governance .. just as Political Parties must withdraw from Private Enterprise .. ‘the times they are a changing 🦎🏴‍☠️🇨🇦

    1. We have a Loblaw-owned Fortino's near us, but we only shop for specific items there when they are a good price, Sal. As a rule, we find that Food Basics provides the best "bang for the buck." Unfortunately, with our toothless competition laws, the government has little influence over the predatory pricing that Mr. Weston is so fond of. The best strategy, as you suggest, is not to reward such practices with our patronage, whenever feasible.

    2. .. Same re Food Basics inc certain fish, poultry, ground turkey ! (leaner than ground beef) eggs, cheese, most veggies & fruit like bananas & potatoes, coffee/tea,, paper towels & toilet paper but Dollarama is best re a lot of basics too ie Pasta, Tinned Goods like tuna, kernel corn, Sugar, spices, Sweets, wrapping papers, detergents etc.. we love Lake Erie Perch at 7.99 from Metro.. we’ve rarely needed a shopping cart.. do much shopping incrementally - coming & going.. and use the mint 2008 Mini Cooper once a week to LCBO & Food Basics. We use FLIP to optimize re any Pop or margarine, butter, cheese & never buy bottled water.. we filter tap water for free.. & obviously not add to Plastics..But we also shop local small mom & pop re baked goods & whomever has seasonal delights like Fiddlehead Greens, Swiss Char, Asparagus, broccoli at times which we’ll often steam plus BBQ steak or pan fry the perch 🦎🏴‍☠️

    3. Clearly, Sal, there is a wealth of alternatives to counter Mr. Weston's venality.
