Contrast that with John McCain's handling of a woman at one of his presidential campaign rallies. She denounced Obama as a dangerous, foreign-born Muslim. McCain stopped her in her tracks, took the microphone from her hand and said that, while he and Obama disagreed on many things, his Democrat adversary was a fine American. That moment stands out and that's really quite sad given that it was 12 years ago.
