Sadly for Canada eh.. she and/her Government apparently leave our dull non-achievers in the dust, never really having reached The Starting Line.. never mind the challenge or promise.. or the 'doing of' - much less that distant Finish Line ! But hey Lorne, surely the posturers and posers such as Kenney, Trudeau, Scheer, Harper, Ford can collect their cub scout badge for 'Participation' ..
Any one of whom has had any role or responsibility re Environment for example, can at least crow about their accomplishment re uh - extirpating of Canada's native species.
Our distinguished DFO, Department of Fisheries and Oceans for example ! They accomplished the impossible, by 'counting' the Steelhead (a wild salmonid) returning to spawn in the great river systems of The Thompson and Chilcotin Rivers. 78 fish in the first, 38 fish or so in the second. We are talking about almost 15 years of DFO under 2 Prime Ministers and their respective Ministers and PMO.. Have they heard of SARA ? Did they act or enforce ? How about Boreal Caribou or Orca, or Beluga, Herring ? Bees even ?.. oh.. Pandas !
All we hear about is educational & medical cuts and pipelines to tidewater.. but isn't 'tidewater' where the Steelhead mature ? Where the fresh hatched fingerlings strive to reach ? These wastrels seemingly are caught with their pants down compared to New Zealand's leadership..
