.. the rumors will fly .. that he wants to spend more time with his family etc.. the Harper Base may find that unacceptable or unbelieveable or both.
Perhaps he must relocate.. to London or Geneva a la Nigel or like Ken Morgan, will find Kuwait good for his health. Seriously though, like so many of the upper Harper crust, he must know the reality of the key actions, scandals, ghosts.. the baggage, the bacteria, the creeps, the deceits, coverups..
Today the lipstick will be whipped out, so to speak, by all the complicit mainstream media, pundits & pimps.. Tony Clement among the gushing grateful politicos of course, but in time, or no time at all.. the leaks will start, the muttering
John Baird is as dirty as they come, in this Harper Government and he knows exactly how they operated, for whom, when & why
He's a classic example of those with so called 'Values'.. 'Conservative values are Canada's values' but in reality.. those are the flimsy phony situational values that are the rotten foundation of all that is Harper
Precisely, Salamander. And the fulsome (in the true sense of the word) praise, as you predict, has already started. Even Paul Dewar describes him in today's Star as a man of 'integrity'. One shudders to think what encomiums might be heaped on Harper were he to depart.

DeleteRats leaving a sinking ship? We really hope so on both counts!
ReplyDeleteHe is described as wanting to pursue new challenges, Rural. Perhaps the challenge of his government's re-election was too great?
