Thank You, Corona Virus
A friend sent the following to me this morning. It is quite powerful, and reflects the kind of thinking I and I'm sure countless others have been engaged in of late.
May we truly take some lasting lessons from this ongoing catastrophe.
I wish for the very same outcomes as you, Lorne. Yet I fear if we don't learn from this, if we don't chart a new course, we could succumb to Andean fatalism. What are our premiers, our prime minister, and his colleagues from Trump to Johnson to Orban, - what are they after? Do they want a better world, a world transformed, or are they looking to restore the status quo ante? So far I've not seen any signs they're warming to the idea of a tide change.
It's all about prespective, Lorne. May we see all of this in the proper perspective.
ReplyDeleteThere is a real opportunity to make lasting change, Owen. Let's hope the world takes it.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I'm sure they think the status quo is just fine, Mound. If I am right, our viability as a species is very clearly in doubt.
