Lest We Forget

The Star's Tim Harper reports that Kellie Leitch, one of the robotic but very malleable mainstays of the former Harper regime, has become the first declared candidate for the Conservative Party's leadership.

I hope no one forgets her appearance with Immigration Minister Chris Alexander during the Conservatives' desperate and divisive bid to hold on to power during the last election. She and Alexander made a good team, given that both are singularly devoid of even a shred of personal integrity:

  1. And Leitch said all this with a straight face Lorne. Only the reform/alliance/cons. would consider her leadership material, which tells us everything we need to know about the integrity of the party as a whole. Anyone with an ounce of self worth or integrity would feel ashamed of having made such a barbaric announcement. Leitch just moves on.

    1. My contempt for her and all that she stands for (power at any price) knows no bounds, Pamela. The public good cannot be served by such groundless and morally-bereft beings.

  2. Cluster bombs are barbaric. White phosphorus is barbaric. Yet we don't utter a peep with our allies use them on civilians whose day of worship falls on Friday.

Leitch is odious but I'll be surprised if her leadership aspirations amount to much.

    1. In a party as rudderless as the Conservatives are, Mound, all things are possible, especially if Leitch winds up competing against fellow-ciphers like Clement and Bernier. Of the village idiot McKay and the always opportunistic Kenney, I will not speak.

  3. Good news! She is showing her swimming skills in an incredibly shallow pool. The reformatories are just a bunch of Harperettes who aren't hiding in a closet.

    1. An apt description of a party that warrants our collective contempt, Rumley.

  4. .. there"s something 'wrong' with Ms Kellie Leitch.. her background & connection to the tsr sands, her failure to disclose as a partner in an entity that is landlord to federal and provincial government rentals, standing with Harper re asbestos sales to 3rd world countries, her odd affinity with the late saint - Jim omnibus Flaherty, the tainted play re barbaric acts snitch line.. ugh.. kind of a female version of Ben Carson - another stunningly flawed medical savant with a flawed or loose chipset .. I hope she wins.. or at least gets into a pitched battle with Jason who lives with mommy Kenney.. Canada really needs to see just how flawed the Harper hive residents really are...

    1. Your description of Ms Leitch is spot-on, Salamander. In fact, your comparison of her to Ben Carson mirrors precisely what my wife said yesterday as we were discussing said savant.
