He Speaks - But Will The Truth Set Him Free?
In the following, George Bush offers an opinion that reveals more than he perhaps intended. Was it just one of his usual gaffes, his advancing years, or a subconsciously motivated expression of atonement?
Bush and Blair have much to lose sleep about. Blair took up Catholicism , perhaps to attend confession. The end result was a changed world. A changed world that was driven by oil , just as it is now!!! When will we ever learn?
People, especially Americans, tend to see what they want to see, Anon. Your comments are all spot-on, but American exceptionalism will live on, bolstered by the nonsensical belief that the U.S. is the greatest nation on earth (perhaps in all of history!) And your comments about the nature of some extremists in the Ukraine is something the media do not like to acknowledge, impairing as it does the current narrative we have been given. That, of course, does not justify what Putin has done.
I was watching a Netflix special last night called The Hall, into which four late comedians have been inducted. The first inductee was George Carlin, whose absent voice makes us all the poorer in our current world. He did not suffer fools gladly, and we can only imagine what he would have said about the politics of our time.

In the fervid fantasies of our politicos, TB, it would seem that redemption comes in many forms. I guess it is in the eye of the beholder, eh?
DeleteOur politicos are ruled by the oil and gas companies that finance their election.
ReplyDeleteJust look to the UK, USA, and Russia.

I absolutely agree, TB.
