Don't Let A Culture Of Defeat Hold You Back

That's right, folks. There are untold opportunities to enhance both your gross domestic product and your wallets through the scourge gift of oil spills, as oil pipeline company Kinder Morgan recently explained. But of course, that 'leftie' Rachel Maddow looks a gift horse in the mouth as she continues to spread her dangerous ideas:

  1. Lorne, she put it well. Kinder Morgan comes across as an as**ole. According to him then fishermen are wasting their time they should be cleaning up oil spills. Would he get any bigger as**ole?

    1. Kinder Morgan's arrogance, LD, is no doubt a testament to the sense of entitlement that Harper has conferred on the corporate oil world.

  2. .. One assumes Harper Experimental Economic Theory was used to arrive at this bizarre & presumption.. It makes me think how such 'reasoning' could claim that smallpox blankets will keep you warm.. while killing you.

Shall we assume there are evidence based economic studies to back this preposterous logic? Perhaps citing the economic boom that followed the Exxon Valdez wreck (the 36th largest spill in history @ just 11 million gallons) or Deepwater Horizon in The Gulf of Mexico @ 206 million gallons

How are the Russians celebrating the local economic gift of the Kolva River Oil Spill @ 84 million gallons from a leaking pipeline? Kinder Morgan would seemingly suggest that oil workers being vaporized has a local upside.. you just have to take an economic view of people dying.. and ecosystems destroyed & the rosy cozy reality will help you feel all warm and wonderful about the economy.

Joe Oliver & Stephen Harper, Tony Clement et al, get it.. that tailings ponds are really sport fishing paradise and great drinking water sources.. so there's another upside for Morgan Kinder to promote with them.

    1. Thanks, Salamander. As always, you are able to put the corporate and Harper inanities into their appropriate contexts.
