Racing To The Bottom

Mr. Trudeau apparently thinks that because if seems to work for Doug Ford, it might work for him -vote-buying, that is.

You can read the full details here.

  1. It's sad and sick, Lorne. That said, I'm tired of the centre left parties playing the protectors of the status quo (despised by most) by protecting norms and such quaint notions as "good faith" when the fascists aren't and are crushing us. Guess that's to say, I'm torn.

    1. Playing fair is becoming but a quaint notion, Anon. That said, your other point about the left maintaining the status quo is a point well-taken. As I've said before, Mr. Trudeau has never met a corporate entity he didn't love. Consequently, as far as I know, he has no way of paying for these bribes coming on offer.

Trump had it right when he said" I love the uneducated".
Trouble is when the uneducated get their way they dont know what to do with it, the power".
It just goes to prove that we have more uneducated people than we thought!
I say again to our retired teacher bloggers; you have much to answer to!

    1. In fairness to teachers, TB, the emergence of critical thinking skills can be cultivated in the classroom, but if one chooses to pay no attention to the world around them, they are ultimately thinking in a vacuum.

  3. Us individual engineers of the sixth great extinction were very clever but not very smart, either one at a time or as the whole herd.
There are consequences with always winning the argument and never being right. The total disrespect for everything else alive interfering with our own pleasure didn't help either.

    1. As I have said before, lungta, we are our own worst enemy. Our present plight makes that undeniable.
