A Question Of Confidence And Competence

Today, I'll let Theo Moudakis speak for many of us:

And here is PP's political response to the threat of massive tariffs from the incoming American president:

Poilievre's response somehow leaves me with a paucity of confidence in his competence.

  1. .. the Malignant Narcissism is impossible to conceal now.. & why bother seems his current escalation. Not the artifice of his shit eating grin flashes so rarely when under pressure.
When performing his prepared Scenes in Question Period for later editing as Attack Clips, he’s all smiles & at ease in his element.
The other evening I was thinking about what he must be like in Caucus or smaller strategy with inner circle ? What would that be like to see & feel ? I’ve been in such meetings with highly successful ‘domineering and/or controlling persons - rude persons - as well as a clever ‘fraud bordering on sociopath.. I have ‘street cred Lorne.. I won’t bother re juveniles in Maximum Security
I’m trying to put myself into that ‘toxic energy field.. same re a Jason Kenney or a Danielle Smith.. 🦎🏴‍☠️🍁

    1. I have known people that send a chill when you meet them, Sal,. Indeed, I even worked under one. Your speculation about the vibe in caucus meetings is one that has never occurred to me, but now that you brought it up, my imagination is in overdrive.

  2. So far little PP has had a stress free run with little to no backlash even after courting the bullies at the truck crossings.
Will he court the bully Trump is my worry?

    1. Mine too, TB. I doubt he is well-prepared, either by experience or character, to deal responsibly and effectively with the incoming president.

  3. I have heard the "loyal opposition" 'lil pp allows no free thought or opposition in private (according to his fellow MPs) . In this respect he is already what harper took a while to become . A muzzler of math and science and input other than his alone.
He is what the programs call elevated/educated/paid way beyond his intelligence. And he can hardly wait to join trump, ford, and smith in the political game of "hold my beer and watch this" race to the bottom.

    1. In an earlier time, Anon, we might have called PP the embodiment of the Peter Principle.

  4. Amazing. Skippy seems to have surrendered to Trump before Trump is even in office. And blames Trudeau and Freeland for his abject submission.

Clearly he will go down as one of our great PM's , like errr, well someone.

    1. Clearly, PP is not a student of history, Anon. He doesn't seem to know about the perils of appeasement.

  5. Clearly, PP is not a student of history,
FWIW , my now 39 year old daughter's school days history classes had USA history books for reference!!
The books had USA slanted chapters of history!
    No complaints from the teachers!!

    1. Interesting, TB. One has every right to expect much better from educators.
