Not mentioning his time in the wilderness, after he spent time in prison after bilking his followers out of $158 million, Bakker boasted that he has made many predictions — including 9/11 — that have come true, and that he is not being treated like the prophet he is.
I had to read that first sentence all the way down to "Jim Bakker" before I could be sure who you were describing. These are strange times indeed.
ReplyDeleteThhere's a real rogues' gallery of these Christo-creeps. Peter Popoff, Robert Tilton, Benny Hinn, Jimmy Swaggert, Ted Haggard, Kenny Copeland and, if you have access to Southern cable tv, there's a legion of others. Kind of like fire ants, always looking to take another bite.
And, of course, now they all expect to be revered as prophets. And those gullibillies, the same fools who loyally cleave to that f#@king moron, Trump, happily call in their donations.
Such people and their acolytes do indeed shake one's faith in one's fellow humans, Mound.
