He's Everywhere!
Disclaimer: Despite the fact that this is my third recent posting about him, there is no 'bromance' budding between me and Gordon “Dr. Chaps” Klingenschmitt. It's just that I am fascinated by him, given his seemingly ubiquitous media presence, one that belies both his profound, quite peculiar stupidity and smug self-righteousness.
As reported in The Raw Story, Klingenschmitt recently appeared on The Ed Show to try to explain the unholiness of Obamacare.
Michelle Bachmann, Pat Robertson, Rick Santorum, Rush Limbaugh, James Imhofe and Kingenschmitt - they're collectively representative of a cultural collapse, perhaps even a vacuum, in the U.S. that's quite prepared to lend these people an ear, give them a voice. In an earlier time the lunatic element, Joe McCarthy for example, would soon be shunned and ostracized. Today, Batshit Crazy, is no obstacle to holding high office - political, religious or financial.
I guess a good part of the explanation for the fact they are not identified and dismissed as unhinged, Mound, is the fact that the right-wing media (not sure there are any real exceptions within the mainstream) give them a platform they that readily exploit. And, of course, it is an exploitation the right welcomes, enhancing, as it does, their own political madness.
As long as people refuse to think for themselves, there is little hope for relief from this nonsense.
