... had this appeared in a film, it would have been regarded as a rather crude and obvious satire. Unfortunately, it is today's reality:

  1. Yes, money talks. As a rule one gets as much justice as one can afford - better counsel, better trial prep, better result at trial, including sentencing, and then better incarceration. It sounds so - oh, what's the term? - Third World. Then again, in what's now a plainly transactional democracy, this probably makes sense.
