Canada Post Has Our Best Interests At Heart

Of course it does.

  1. Small correction, Lorne. It is Canada POS (hint: think Peter Kent). :)

Meanwhile, we hear that Mr and Mrs Harper went sightseeing in India in an armored limo specially flown over there at our expense ($1.2M). But of course it was the fault of the RCMP as they made that decision.

And then there is Flaherty being convinced that no change is needed in our CPP while both he and Harper stand ready to collect their gold plated MP pensions when they retire or are kicked out. But again, don't blame it on Harper. It was Chretien's fault for forcing him to make the decision that he either had to join the pension plan or lose it. Manning did refuse to join but he, Harper, was too smart to make that stupid mistake, eh?

Makes you wonder who are the 26% or so of voters the polls say are still intending to vote for these Cons. Don't they pay taxes like the rest of us? Friend of mine used to say that ignorance is curable but stupidity is forever. Wonder how many of that 26% are in the beyond help category?

    1. You pose some good questions here, Anon. Were I in a particularly bad frame of mind, I would readily attempt to answer your last one. ;)

  2. Now that will bring lot of revenues for Canada Post. I have letter box right outside my front door. The idea of community mail boxes gives me creeps.

    1. Not to mention, LD, that the community boxes are apparently prone to a lot of theft: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/from-theft-to-litter-canada-posts-delivery-phase-out-presents-hurdles/article15919435/.
Vandalism is also a concern: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/are-canada-post-s-community-mailboxes-really-safe-1.2460515
