Is Nothing Sacred?

Apparently not to Stephen Harper, who used the tragedy of the Boston Marathon bombings to try to attack Justin Trudeau.

Apparently the Prime Minister discourages any rational consideration of crime in favour of his well-known modus operandi, knee-jerk reactions and demagoguery.

Watch the following and decide for yourself:

  1. I say 'well done Justin'. Confront the bully. It works for me.

  2. So Harper prefers to respond irrationally to tragedies? Is that really what he said?

    1. I suspect that careful consideration of his words is not what the Prime Minister wants, Dan. Blood in our eyes and drool down our chins is, I suspect, the reaction(ary)he is trying to tap into.

  3. Lorne, studies by sociologists in the last 60years plus have shown that getting to the root-cause and doing something about it reduces criminal behaviour and not retaliatory behaviour suggested by Jackass Harper.

    1. I suppose if Harper had any respect for 'book learnin'', LeDaro, he would recognize and respect those studies. Something tells me, however, that he was/is more a student of Machiavelli than of Durkheim.
